Speculative Fiction

The Speculative Fiction writers group is a body of writers who utilize many genres including, but not limited to, science-fiction, fantasy and horror. The aim of the group is to support both aspiring and experienced writers and to hopefully open opportunities to publish their works.

The group meets fortnightly on Tuesdays throughout the year to share ideas, read each other’s work and offer supportive feedback. This all happens at the Townsville Writers’ & Publishers’ Centre at the Riverway Arts Centre in Thuringowa Central and is a great opportunity to meet other writers with similar interests.

To keep up to date on meetings, events or to learn more on the current members of the group, please visit the Townsville Speculative Fiction website by clicking here.

Joining Speculative Fiction means you will be one of the first to find out about upcoming competitions and publishing opportunities. You will be able to work on your writing and receive advice, direction and vital skills to write to the best of your ability.

If you are interested please come along to try it out! Ongoing participants are asked to become members of the Townsville Writers’ & Publishers’ Centre and to bring a gold coin donation for tea, coffee and biscuits.
